The National Patient Safety Foundation (NPSF) has named March 10-23 Patient Safety Awareness Week in an effort to raise awareness about patient safety among health care providers and the public.
According to the NPSF, as many as 440,000 patients die each year as a result of preventable medical harm, and that many others suffer significant and lasting morbidity, and quality-of-life implications. Given this evidence, NPSF advocates for addressing patient safety as a serious public health concern.
EMS supports the NPSF in its mission to create a world where patients and those who care for them are free from harm. With our SIMULATIONiQ suite of products, EMS offers leading-edge technology to help health care educators do what they do best: educate their learners to strengthen care delivery and communication skills for improved patient safety.
