EMS is proud to commemorate National Physician Assistants Week 2018!
Sponsored by the American Academy of Pas (AAPA), National PA Week recognizes the PA profession and its contributions to the nation’s health. AAPA represents more than 123,000 PAs across all medical and surgical specialties in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, U.S. territories, and the uniformed services.
AAPA advocates and educates on behalf of the profession and the patients PAs serve; works to ensure the professional growth, personal excellence and recognition of Pas; and enhances PAs’ ability to improve the quality, accessibility, and cost-effectiveness of patient-centered healthcare.
Ideas to recognize #PAweek:
- Help educate the public about PAs and PA Week, and show how PAs are involved in community health.
- Encourage your legislators to issue a PA Week proclamation, then use our template press release to spread the word. Write an op-ed and send it to your local paper.
- Get involved in your community by sponsoring a public health event, spearheading a charity fundraiser, or participating in PA Student Service Week.
- Spread the word. Join your fellow PAs and PA students for the annual PAs on the Plaza event; share the “Your PA Can Handle It” video; or introduce your social media followers to all the things PAs can do.
